I love Mary’s Song in Luke 1:46-56

As I read it this morning, I noticed at least 18 attributes of God. Mary made her prayer and song all about God!

1. HE’S ALMIGHTY
   “And Mary said: ‘My soul glorifies the Lord”
2. HE’S THE SAVIOR
   “and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior”
3. HE’S OMNISCIENT
   “for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant”
4. HE’S RESPECTFUL
   “From now on all generations will call me blessed,”
5. HE’S ALL-POWERFUL
   “for the Mighty One”
6. HE’S PERSONAL
   “has done great things for me”
7. HE’S HOLY
   “Holy is his name.”
8. HE’S MERCIFUL
   “His mercy extends to those who fear him”
9. HE’S WORTHY
   “Worthy from generation to generation.”
10. HE’S POWERFUL
    “He has performed mighty deeds with his arm”
11. HE’S RIGHTEOUS
    “He has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts”
12. HE’S SOVEREIGN
    “He has brought down rulers from their thrones”
13. HE’S GRACIOUS
    “but has lifted up the humble”
14. HE’S GENEROUS
    “He has filled the hungry with good things”
15. HE’S JUST
    “but has sent the rich away empty”
16. HE’S HUMBLE
    “He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful
17. HE’S FAITHFUL
    “To Abraham and his descendants forever”
18. HE’S ETERNAL
    “just as he promised our ancestors.”
