How do I know I’m in Gods Will?
Here are a few questions to ask:
- Is what I am about to do sinful?
- Does God Word forbid it directly or indirectly?
- Does it give the appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22)?
- Is there unconfessed sin in my life that may be hindering the ability to discern God’s will?
- Will it cause others to stumble?
- Have I asked God for wisdom in the situation?
- Have I included others in this decision that are spiritually mature and know me best?
- Have I studied what the Bible says about it?
- Do I have a deep conviction and inner peace from God’s Spirit based on His Word?
- Will this help me love God AND love others better?
- Am I in a hurry, wanting to please myself or others more than God?
- Will it advance or hinder the gospel?
- Will what I’m about to do bring God more glory?
- Has or can God bless this?
- Will this glorify God and build His church?
