Did David lack faith in God by gathering five smooth stones instead of just one when he faced Goliath?

It didn’t matter if he had 1, 5, or 500…the 4 1/2’ shepherd boy whose only war strategy was delivering cheese sandwiches picked a simple sling shot, denied the King’s personal armor, and faced a seasoned 7’ warrior giant covered with armor who wielded a huge spear and sword. He killed the giant who no one else, even King Saul, dared face for forty days…I’d call that faith.

Lord, give us that kind of faith!

I personally believe he chose five to take out Goliath’s four giant brothers as well if needed (whom he would later kill in 2 Samuel 21:15-22).
