How do I know I’m praying God’s will? Here are 10 short points:
1) Praying the Scriptures is always His will.
2) Praying the prayer commands of scripture are always His will (e.g. pray for your enemies, pray for wisdom, lead me not into temptation).
3) Be sure to pray with right motivation (not selfish, angry, sinful).
4) Pray with forgiving others in mind.
5) Lead with asking God what He wants instead of telling Him what you need.
6) Rely on the Spirit when you don’t know what to pray (Romans 8:26-27).
7) Ask, “Is what I’m praying giving glory to God?”.
8)Pray for souls to be saved.
9) Pray with thanksgiving to God.
10) Pray for forgiveness of sins.
