A Faithful Steward

Have you ever been asked to babysit? What about housesit? Then you’ve been a steward.   In fact if you’ve ever taken care of anything that is someone else’s then you have been a steward.   The reality is we all are stewards of everything we “own”. God has entrusted us with […]

Gone Fishing

A man who spent a fruitless day fishing picked out three fat fish at the supermarket. “Before you wrap them,” he said to the store manager,” toss them to me, one by one. That way I’ll be able to truthfully tell my wife I caught them.”  Have you ever gone […]

How Do You Handle a Critic?

Have you ever had someone curse you out, disrespect you, and throw stones at you?  David did!  In 2 Samuel 16:5–14; 19:18–23, David experienced criticism in the highest degree.  His son Absalom overtook Jerusalem and sought to overthrow David and become king.  This caused David to run for his life.  […]

Joy That Never Fades

There are a lot of reasons today to not be happy.  It’s more than just having a bad day.  Things like sickness, pain, death, heartache, crime, sin, and disappointment are almost inevitable in this world and can all leave you distraught.  “Pastor, that’s not very positive.  Can you be more […]

Confronting False Teachers

Recently I was asked, “Should you confront false preachers?  Does Scripture say you shouldn’t judge people – or something like that?”  Yes, Matthew 7:1 does say “Judge not, that ye be not judged” but you should read this scripture, like them all, in their context to properly understand the true […]

God’s Solution for Stress

Ever feel stressed out?  Stress can cause huge physical and emotional damage to your life.  Weight loss, lack of sleep, anxiety, hurt relationships and numerous other issues can arise from a stress-filled life.  My prayer for you is, “The Lord gives strength to his people. The Lord blesses his people […]

When Life Hurts

Life reaches points when hurt, pain, and chaos spiral beyond our control. At these times the temptation is to believe the deception hope, relief, and peace are things of the past. God is present, even in trouble. His presence brings security, peace, and comfort. He provides rest, strength, and hope. […]
